London: Alfred Brendel – a Musical Celebration

Paul Lewis joins a host of musicians to celebrate the life of friend, teacher, and mentor Alfred Brendel. Sir Simon Rattle conducts a unique orchestra of musicians close to Brendel, and the programme features works by Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven and Schubert. Performers include Pierre-Laurent Aimard, Lisa Batiashvili, Adrian Brendel, Dame Imogen Cooper, Lucy Crowe, Till Fellner, Sir András Schiff, Dame Harriet Walter and the Takács Quartet, amongst others.
